
Ernie Ferguson, CAC III: Ernie is Co-Owner
and Co-Founder of Genesis Counseling. He has been working professionally in
the Addictions field since 1995. He brings a vast amount of knowledge and
experience - as well as a sense of humor - to his
counseling sessions. Ernie has been a driving force in the philosophy and
direction of Genesis Counseling since its conception.
Dave Garrison, MA, CAC III, Domestic Violence Treatment Provider:
Dave is also Co-Owner and Co-Founder of Genesis Counseling. He has
worked in the counseling field since 1993, with an emphasis on Domestic
Violence and Men’s issues. He is currently enrolled in the Gestalt Institute
of the Rockies, and offers a dynamic and eclectic counseling style.
Katie Russom, CAC III: Katie has ten years of experience and
has been with Genesis Counseling since 2003. She enjoys the challenge of
counseling as well as witnessing the changes and growth clients make as they
go through the counseling process. She takes great pride in her work and has
an outgoing, lively personality, which clients naturally gravitate towards.
Alisa Trowell, CAC III: Alisa brings years of training and
experience in the many areas affiliated with addiction. She has worked and
volunteered in various formats ranging from residential treatment to
homelessness, as well as Department of Corrections. She also possesses a
wide range of resources to meet the needs of clients in recovery. Alisa is
very passionate in the area of counseling and believes that her ability to
offer relevant information for motivating and provoking change is
imperative, and if applied to the life of those receiving it, change can,
and will occur.
LaRue Trowell, CAC II: LaRue comes to the table at Genesis
Counseling witn an in-deprth background of experience along with training in
Addictions. LaRue expresses deep passion and concern for those he works with
in and outside of the group setting. He uses very colorful techniques and
scenarios that challenge and motivate clients to take responsibility for
their behavior and choices.
Bill Barnett, BS, CAC II: Bill started out at Genesis
Counseling as an intern and now, having completed his undergraduate studies,
is a full time counselor facilitating various Alcohol and Substance Abuse
groups. Bill has an empathetic view of the problems created by drugs and
alcohol. With the understanding that change can be difficult, Bill believes
that every individual has the ability to initiate change with the proper
motivation and desire.
