 Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence, for the offender:
Genesis Counseling offers both male and female Domestic Violence groups. The length of treatment is a minimum of 36 weeks in duration, with 90 minute sessions per week.
The focus of our Domestic Violence program is to incorporate taking responsibility for previous behavior while developing a greater awareness and insight into the self in order to eliminate such behavior in the future.
Genesis Counseling also offers an intensive Domestic Violence program
for high-risk offenders. Our intensive program includes weekly individual
and group sessions.

For the victim:
In addition to treating the offender, Genesis Counseling offers victim services. Victim contact is made on a regular basis to assure more effective treatment and to assess potential lethality.
